Marya is a sweet two year old girl from Kurdistan. Her father arrived at the airport tonight with Marya for the second time to Israel. During the last visit, they conducted an arterial switch operation and also a few other interventions. This has greatly helped her oxygenation status. She has a catheterization scheduled for the eleventh of December.
Her father eagerly inquired about the volunteers he had met in his last visit and remembered them by name. He is so gentle with Marya and truly cares for her with such loving-kindness.
As Marya was warmly dressed in a soft, cozy white sweater, I was reminded of a little lamb. Isaiah 40:11 says,
He will tend his flock like a shepherd; he will gather the lambs in his arms;
he will carry them in his bosom, and gently lead those that are with young.
Jesus lovingly cares for Marya as her shepherd, and carries her with such tenderness. Please pray for her as Marya and her father start their second journey in Israel.
