Traveling to Israel

Daryan is naturally curious and loved viewing the airplanes from the window. He appeared very tired, as expected from a long night and morning of travel. He was brave in trying new tasks, and even took my temperature during his assessment.

Daryan is an 18 month male that is accompanied by his mother. According to his previous medical reports, Daryan was diagnosed with bicuspid aortic valve and coarctation of the aorta with aortic stenosis. This means that due to his aortic valve forming with two, rather than three cusps. This causes Daryan’s aortic valve to be stenotic, or narrowed. When the valve is stenotic, it has difficulty opening fully, which inhibits some blood to travel to the rest of the body. Daryan’s aorta, a major blood vessel that carries oxygenated blood from the heart to the rest of the body, is also very narrow. This inhibits the ability of the oxygenated blood to travel efficiently to the rest of the body.

My prayer is that we would be able to listen and learn more about Daryan and his family. Please pray for him to find rest and strength in God.
