Four days after his second catheterization, Mohammed is returned to our Jaffa home. It was so good to see him and his sweet mum again, he is the most calm baby I’ve ever met, and when his mum took him out of the crib to go to the car, he just serenely smiled.
The results of the cath from last week were initially that he wouldn’t need a surgery. However, due to apparent regurgitation in the valve which developed in the days following his catheterization, he will need to go to surgery to repair the valve.
His mother remained patient and calm even knowing that her son will now need a surgery. The families at the house welcomed them back warmly and were excited to see them! We are happy to have them with us again!
