The doctor at Sheba Hospital told me today that Somaia has to grow. When she is bigger and stronger, she can be taken off the ventilator slowly. But for now, she is too weak and small for the doctors to take a next step forward.
Time is what will help Somaia. Her grandmother knows this and she already spend a lot of time in the hospital. She knows a lot of people there now and she is walking through the hospital talking to all the people she met.
She is a lovely woman who is always there for the other mothers. I sat in the waiting area several times with mothers during surgery or catheterizations, and Somaia’s grandmother is always there waiting with them and supporting them. May God bless her.
