We trust

The first few days of September looked very hopeful for young Anas. Though he was still on dialysis, his hands and feet were beginning to make great improvements and his heart was still working well. We were beginning to become hopeful that he would be making a full recovery— us, the parents, and the doctors were all expecting this.

On Friday, doctors placed a chest tube to help with drainage in hopes for further improvements. His body was given time to adjust to this change. But, as time passed, he slowly decreased in health as everything was becoming too much for his body to handle anymore. He began to experience further multi organ failure and bleeding. Doctors gave it their all to save his life, but the Lord decided to call him home early on Saturday morning.

By the time coworker Caroline and I reached the hospital to be with the family, they had already left. A doctor shared that their reaction was extremely emotional and unbelievably hard. This is completely understandable and our hearts go out to this precious family who loved their dear son so much.

Though we may not see how the Lord is working in this story, we trust that He is working all things for the good of those who love Him. Please pray that our Lord works in the tender and hurting hearts of Anas’ family in their time of grief.
