Yesterday was supposed to be the day that Sali returned home to Gaza, but hours before her discharge, one of her lungs collapsed. When I heard this, I couldn’t help but thank God this happened in the hospital and not a few hours later on the way to – or in – Gaza. She is doing much better today, the doctors said.
This week she had been receiving physical therapy, and as the specialist worked with her and her mother, there was one exercise where Sali was cradled in the hands of the therapist and rocked back and forth, her mother’s face meeting Sali’s. You can see the love and delight in her mother’s eyes as they do this exercise. Please pray for this little one and her mother.
