Shevet Achim is a faith-based international community that brings children with congenital heart defects to the advanced medical centers in Israel. It was founded in 1994 when a small group including both foreign Christians and Israeli citizens was drawn together around the shared recognition that every life is created in the image of God, and that the children of our neighbors should not be denied access to the great medical care in Israel.

Early on our focus settled on heart surgeries for children from the Gaza Strip, and that work has continued without stop until today. And a breakthrough in 2003 (see the video below) expanded our reach into Iraq and later into Syria.
