Welcome to Israel Kajeen!

The gates of Israel swung wide open for a delightful three-year-old girl named Kajeen this afternoon. Traveling alongside her mother, Kajeen made her first international trip in hopes of receiving a life-giving operation to her heart.
I was immediately won over by her delight in blowing kisses. As with many children who have Down Syndrome, Kajeen is very loveable and affectionate. She listens carefully to her mother and trusts her completely. It was a blessing to watch how
patiently she waited throughout a tedious day of customs and travel. It is with great anticipation that we welcome Kajeen and her mother to our community.
Tomorrow marks the next step in this sweet girl's journey to a new heart. She is currently diagnosed with Atrioventricular Canal (AV Canal) and a large Atrial Septal Defect (ASD), both of which are life-threatening. Thus, every effort towards Kajeen's surgery and subsequent healing are undoubtedly worthwhile. Please join us as we walk with Kajeen and her mother through this remarkable venture.
