To Arrive

Samar is a one-year-old little boy from a Christian family in northern Iraq. He was born with a heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF). TOF is actually a combination of four different defects that together allow a child to live; however, these defects greatly reduce quality of life. Common symptons of this defect include clubbing of the fingers and toes, a blue skin tone, and shortness of breath from only minimal physical activity. TOF is a defect that can only be corrected through surgery, so we hope to have Samar with us in the near future along with his grandmother, who will accompany him.
