Zahab's Heart Surgery

The redemption of tiny baby Zahab

One and a half month old Zahab is the smallest of three triplets born in the Gaza Strip. Weighing just over one kilogram (2.2 pounds) and with a severe heart defect, she had no chance to live--unless she could follow her brother Mohammed to Israel. (Mohammed was born with the same defect and came out to the Sheba Medical Center in Israel last week for surgery).

Thank God for providing the resources to bring Zahab to the advanced care in Israel yesterday:

And today she was rushed in for emergency surgery to repair her tiny walnut-sized heart:

Zahab survived the three-hour surgery and doctors say the next 24 hours will be critical. His grace has brought her safe thus far, his grace will see her home.
